TMX Operational Notice
Reminder: Implementation of Contingent Options Trades on Toronto Stock Exchange
Further to Equities Notice 2024-026, TMX Market Operations is reminding Participants that Contingent Options Trades will be implemented on Toronto Stock Exchange {"TSX") effective Tuesday, September 03, 2024.
The enhancements will enable the automatic trading of securities on TSX when the option portion of the contingent option is executed on MX. As a result, Contingent Option Trades on TSX can execute outside of the National Best Bid and Offer, but will be restricted to within the daily high and low price.
Contingent Option Trades will continue to utilize the existing "MS" trade marker which does not set the daily high, low, last, open or close prices.
